Did you know there are two types of stress? Eustress is a positive stress that is usually brief and provides motivation to accomplish goals/tasks. Distress is the more common type of stress we talk about managing. It is when you begin to feel helpless due to lack of control over a situation.
Both types of stress can affect mental and physical functions – eustress temporarily drives you to do amazing things while distress may halt you in your tracks.

Unmanaged stress can have negative effects on you, both physically and mentally. Unmanaged stress can lead to high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, and physical symptoms such as stomach ache, headache, and muscle tension. Uncontrolled stress reduces concentration and increases the severity of anxiety and depression.
