Let’s Get Back to Work Fund
The Let’s Get Back To Work Fund supports nonprofit agencies working with low-income individuals in acquiring or maintaining employment by supporting related transportation expenses. The intent of the program is to remove transportation-related barriers for individuals traveling to and from work to successfully complete their job.
Eligible Transportation Expenses May Include:
Auto repair expenses
Tire replacement
Repairs in order for a vehicle to pass state inspection
Fuel
Licensing fees or taxes
Initial payment of car insurance (up to $250)
Transportation services: bus passes, Uber, taxi, Lyft, or other ride-sharing services, including regional commuting opportunities
Vehicle purchase down payment (vehicle must be purchased from a reputable dealer, no buy here pay here or friends, etc.)
Purchase or repair of bike, e-bike, or street legal scooter
Helmet for bike, e-bike, or street legal scooter
WHO QUALIFIES?
RISE Members: Active members with a working budget and financial need. “Active” status means RISE members are engaged with the program through regular class attendance, meetings with their Coach, and maintaining a working budget. Must be working or applying for work.
Non-RISE Members: Need to be connected with partnering organizations who will refer the client to RISE Coaches. Must be working or applying for work.
*Recipients must be located within the following counties: Barry, Christian, Dallas, Douglas, Greene, Hickory, Laclede, Lawrence, Polk, Stone, Taney, Texas, Webster, and Wright counties in Missouri.
APPLICATION PROCESS:

RISE members: Personal Development Coaches will review the active member’s budget and assess the need for the funds. The RISE Coach must verify working budget and financial need.
Non-RISE member: Individuals referred from outside resources will need to prove employment and validate referral from a community partner.
